"In 2006 a referendum overwhelmingly rejected the most serious attempt to dismantle our constitutional system, by concentrating all powers in the hands of the Prime Minister.
ignoring the referendum result, the attempt to overthrow the republican Constitution could now be realized in fact, with procedures, activities and behaviors that call into question the fundamental principles: the separation of powers, the role of Parliament, the independence of the judiciary, the role of Head of State.
